Human menopausal gonadotropin (HMG) such as Menopur is a medication used to stimulate the ovaries to produce eggs in women who are undergoing assisted reproductive technology (ART) such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). HMG contains follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) which are naturally occurring hormones that stimulate the ovaries to produce mature eggs.
