Sonography

Sonography

Sonography is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of structures inside the body. During a sonography test, a technician or doctor applies a special gel to the skin over the area being examined, then presses a small hand-held device called a transducer against the skin. The transducer emits sound waves that travel through the body and bounce back, creating an image on a computer screen.

Sonography can be used to examine many parts of the body, including the uterus and ovaries in women and the testes and prostate in men. In the context of fertility, sonography is often used to monitor the growth of ovarian follicles and to check the thickness of the endometrial lining. It can also be used to detect structural abnormalities in the reproductive organs that may be contributing to infertility.

At Aashakiran IVF, we use sonography as a routine part of our fertility evaluations and treatments. Our experienced sonographers and reproductive specialists work together to ensure that each patient receives the most accurate and helpful information possible.
